Membership Types

Please note that eligibility for any GCAN membership requires concurrent and active NSGC membership as we are a state chapter of NSGC.

Associate Membership*

For the following:

  • ABGC certified or board-eligible genetic counselors not residing in the state of Nevada who have an active NSGC Membership status

  • ABMGG certified medical geneticists

  • Other medical professionals with appropriate certification in genetics

Full Membership

For ABGC certified or board-eligible genetic counselors residing in the state of Nevada who have an active NSGC Membership status


Student Membership*

For graduate students currently enrolled in a ACGC-accredited genetic counseling program who have an active NSGC membership

*Associate and Student memberships are subject to approval by the GCAN Leadership Team.
